Wanted to record these little simple pleasures that made me smile this afternoon:
Matt running up to the back door to present me with a "special" gift he found: a bird feather. Smiling and cringing at the same time as he demonstrates how nice it feels to rub it on his cheek. He wants me to keep it forever upstairs in my bedroom.
The look of sheer joy and pride on Jillian's face as she tentatively swings her legs back and forth, back and forth, learning how to swing for the first time.
Hand-picked dandelion bouquets from my kids.
Watching the kids go for a "jog" with their Daddy.
Probably the single most important wish I have for my kids is that they never outgrow this innocence and excitement in the little things.
