We asked Matt if he was happy this morning and he said he was. When we asked him if there was one thing he could change about his life, he thought about it for a long time and replied, "I wish I didn't have to go shopping. I don't like shopping." Takes after his Daddy. :)
Jillian told me last night as I was leaving her room, "Mumma, I love you more than chocolate." I think that was the ultimate compliment, don't you?
Before bed every night, the kids get to "pick their kisses." Their choices have included: butterfly kisses, fishy kisses, octopus kisses, kitty kisses, hair kisses, nosies, monkey kisses, horsey kisses, bumble bee kisses, and various and sundry others. Give it a try. It's a lot of fun, I promise.
Jillian's in the inquisitive stage right now. Some of the questions she wants answers to:
Why is a cup called a cup?
Why is Sadie a girl?
Why do our eyes see things?
Why isn't Miss P (her teacher) old?
Is my hair going to turn white when I get old?
Why do birds eat worms?
Why is this crayon red?
Are there mushrooms/dragons/fish/eagles/skunks "in our land?"
The kids probably have hundreds of dollars worth of toys, but their big thrill of the week is: cup stacking. With regular old Dixie Cups. That's right. Cup stacking.
