Monkey business

I had quite the challenge for Matt's Halloween costume this year.  Matt's favorite video game character is  Donkey Kong's young sidekick Diddy.  When I asked him what he wanted to be this year, of course he wanted to be Diddy Kong, but since the Donkey Kong Country video games are about 15 years old, at least, I knew I wasn't going to find a costume.  I considered buying him a monkey costume, but in the end decided to be ambitious and make one.  I bought a brown sweatsuit, a plain red hat and tee shirt, and fashioned ears and a tail out of felt.  I figure that when he's done with the costume, I can remove the ears and tail from the sweatsuit and he can use them for play clothes. :)

So here is the original Diddy Kong:

And here's my finished product:

Thoughts?  Do you think I should cut the sleeves off the tee-shirt since it looks like the "real" Diddy is sleeveless, too, or do you think it's fine as is?

It looks good. And Matt seems to love it, so I think you're good as is.
