Poor Pudd. Doesn't he look sad? That long-suffering look is due to the fact that he has been taking the fall for a lot of things lately. For example, I came into the kitchen to make lunch and saw this:
These are the apples that are supposed to be for our Thanksgiving apple pie. When I asked the kids whodunit, Matt told me that Puddy bit the apple and then put it back in the bag. Shame on you Puddy! I had (yet another) discussion with Matt about blaming things on other people (or cows for that matter). Jillian was amused. So was I, for that matter, but I managed to hold in the giggles until I left the room.Turns out Matt is quite the class clown. We had his parent/teacher conference this afternoon. Miss P, his teacher, couldn't stress enough what a kind, happy, polite, good kid he is. She said that sometimes she has to redirect his behavior when he gets too rambunctious, but that it's something that's very normal for a kid his age. It made me so proud. She said he gets along well with others and is doing very well. She also had a couple of funny stories to tell... including one I'm sure you'll find as hilarious as I did...
They were walking back to class one day last week after rehearsing for "Grandparent's Day" at the Church, and Miss P. saw a former student of hers. She said, "Well, look, it's my friend Caroline!" At which, Matthew, from the back of the line, burst into song... "Sweet Caroline! BAH BAH BAH! Never times never seemed so good! SO GOOD! SO GOOD! SO GOOD!" [That's not a typo above, that's actually how he sings it].
