"Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget."— Robert Jordan

I wish.

My 6-year-old nephew Ryan and I had a conversation this morning ("Memere" is Janelle - the Day-Care provider that Ry and his brother Jonathan go to and that Matt and Jill used to go to sometimes when I still worked from home):

Ryan: Why don't Matt and Jill go to Memere's anymore?
Me: Because Matt is going to school in the fall and I stay home so they don't need to go there anymore.
Ryan: Did you ever have a job?
Me: Yup, I used to work before the kids were born. But now my job is to take care of them.
Ryan: Does uncle Mark pay you?
Me: I wish. Nope, he doesn't pay me.
Ryan: Well, where do you get money to buy toys and stuff?
Me: Uncle Mark works. And when you're married you share money.

I thought about going into my whole spiel about how I'm saving Mark about $30,000 in childcare, but figured it wasn't worth it.
