Jillian had her well-baby visit today. :) She's in the 25th %ile... 10 lbs, 1/2 oz, 22 1/4" long. :) My little peanut! No wonder she still only fits into newborn clothes!! Matt was 12 lbs, 12 oz, 23 1/2" at that age and in the 75th %ile. LOL!! But she gained 2 lbs since the last visit so that's good. Dr. Harris says she's doing great! She had shots today... the typical 2 month vaccines, plus an oral rotavirus vaccine. She was NOT happy about the shots, but I told her it was for her own good. ;-) She was a little fussy this afternoon, nothing a little Tylenol couldn't fix.
I took both Matt and Jillian to get pictures done yesterday... I went to Kiddie Kandids – that new place inside Babies R Us all by myself. Don't know WHAT I was thinking... First of all, I wanted to get a picture of Matt and Jillian together, but Matt would NOT sit still, and would not hold Jillian... no amount of coaxing could get him to do it. I was kind of annoyed with the whole situation... the "photographer" (and I'm being kind by calling her that) kept trying to force Matt to hold her, sending both kids into hysterics. Then she insisted on a picture of Jillian lying on her stomach (which I have to admit came out really cute - and ended up being my favorite - but I won't post it here because she's neked ;-) ), but Jillian kept flipping out every time we put her down because she's too young to really hold her head up well... And the pictures of Matt didn't come out that great at all. :( Jillian was freaking out at that point so I kind of just let the "photographer" do what she wanted... and she put a soccer ball and a baseball bat (??) as props for a kid wearing a football jersey?? Uh, hello? And I was so distracted at that point that I didn't even notice that Matt had cracker crumbs on the corner of his mouth. Not to mention the fact that my "photographer" had to ask for help using her camera (!!)
And to top it all off... I forgot to bring the christening gown. Mark's mom had the gown made from her wedding gown (as you know) and all her grandchildren have a professional pic of them in the gown. Sigh... so now I have to go back. Although I have a coupon for a free sheet at the Picture People, so I think I'll go there instead. I may have Matt's portraits done over at that time too.
Needless to say by the time I got home I was ready to sit down and cry. :( To put the icing on the cake, we got a letter in the mail yesterday from Jordan's Furniture saying that the desk we ordered is on backorder and probably won't be in until MID NOVEMBER. What the hell?
So all I wanted to do after that is sit down and have a nice glass of wine and try to relax. That didn't even work out for me... Don't know if many people know this about me, but I seem to be "allergic" to alcohol. Well, to be specific, I have nasal polyps, which can be removed by sinus surgery, but when they start to get big again (and it's been 5 years since my last surgery), I start getting congested all the time, get sinus headaches, lose my sense of smell, and react badly to even a couple of ounces of alcohol. Used to be I could get away with a couple of glasses of wine... no longer I guess. After a few sips, my face broke out, turned beat red, my eyes got all puffy and I got extremely congested and the sinus pressure was awful. I still had a killer headache this morning. All from a couple of sips of wine. Sigh...
Okay, enough of the pity party. ;-) I'm going to bed. LOL!

Sounds like a really bad day! I had to look in Patyon's baby book, she weighed the same as Jillian at her 2 month. She didn't gain all that fast considering she was 8 lbs 7 oz at birth:)
When we went to have Payton's 18 month photos taken I was really upset that she would not cooperate at all! Only one smile and she was basically just wandering around the studio. We went to Target to get those photos, and they actually were just beautiful. That photograper got the best photos of Payton that we have had taken. I don't know if the Target near you has a photo gallery, not all do, but you may want to check it out. They really do a nice job, here anyway:) Hope today is better!
