She's a whopping 7 lbs, 1 1/2 oz!! That means she put on 13 1/2 oz in 8 days! :-D I knew she was eating well! She also grew a whole 1/2 inch, making her 19 inches now. :) Dr. Harris says she looks great, and barring any complications with her umbilical cord falling off, he doesn't need to see us for two weeks - for her 1 month WBC.
Still having problems at night time. I don't get her. ;-) She had a really good night Thursday night... I laid on the couch with her on my chest around 8:00 and we snoozed together until 10:00, I fed her and put her in her crib at 10:30 and she went right to sleep. Last night I did the EXACT SAME THING, and she was up until 1:00. I wish I could figure out something that works every time... some nights she wants to be swaddled, other nights, she wants her arms and legs free. Some nights, the sleep positioner, other nights, flat on her back. Some nights pacifier, other nights she spits it right out. Some nights she wants to sleep on her side, other nights on her back. I don't get it... and it's really frustrating at midnight when all you want to do is go to sleep and you JUST climb into bed after hovering over her crib waiting for her eyes to close, then you hear the wail coming from the room down the hall. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely expect her to be waking up every few hours, and certainly don't mind that... I just don't like the helpless feeling of not knowing what she wants and how to make her comfortable so she (and I) can get some sleep.
Okay... do I sound like the worst mommy ever for complaining or what??

Give her time, Kel. It can take weeks (and sometimes months) for a baby to get into a schedule. It's got nothing to do with your parenting. Her little body is still trying to adjust to "outside" life vs. in utero life. She'll get into a schedule soon enough. You'll see...Good luck!!
I agree Kelly. She will come around. Maybe its the baby girl thing. Payton was not a pleast baby at night for a while! She is beautiful now. I remember feeling so jealous that Matt actually slept in his room as an infant. Payton was with us until she was about 10 weeks old. And you know I was one of those parents that said no way to the sleeping in our bed, until she was born:)
