Matt turned 18 months yesterday! Can you believe it?? I can't. :) He had his check-up at Dr. Harris' yesterday... he's doing great! Still consistently 25 %ile weight and 50th %ile height and head circumfrence. He's very proportional. ;-) The official "stats" are 23 lbs 10 oz, 32 1/2", 48 1/2 cm. (head circumfrence). I think he made Lindsay's day by saying her name several times after his check-up, too!!
Guess what? Matt FINALLY says Mom!! YAY! Just started saying it last weekend. No Momma or Mommy for him, thank you very much! He just yells out "MUM?? MUM!!!" It's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing it. :)
I am, however, tired of being pregnant. These last few days have been really rough. I hurt my back (during the whole Pack N' Play incident below... to add insult to injury) and between that and the pelvic soreness/pressure, I'm finding it really hard to move around (and chase after Matt). Nights have been awful. I wake up every hour and I don't think I've gotten more than 4 hours of sleep per night in about a week. I've actually resorted to sleeping on the couch because it's easier to lay on my back (propped up by pillows, of course). I don't remember being this uncomfortable at the end of my first pregnancy. But, maybe it's just mommy amnesia! LOL! I think I dropped, though.
We took out the pack n' play last weekend along with the carseat, bouncy seat, swing, etc. and I washed everything and was setting up the PnP on Tuesday when I realized that I was missing 2 support bars for the bassinet part. I was thinking to myself, where could they be? Everything else was in the bag... then it dawned on me... when we were cleaning out the spare closet, I found two blue bars in there and didn't know what they went to, so I moved them to another closet and finally a couple of months ago was sick of seeing them hanging around (in one of my hormonal 2nd tri pregnancy cleaning fits), and THREW THEM AWAY!!
I was SO incredibly annoyed with myself!! The ONE time I was determined not to be a packrat I threw away something important!! I got on Graco's website and figured out that I could call and order replacement parts so I called first thing Wednesday morning. It took me a while to get a hold of them... at first I kept getting this message that said that due to the high call volume, please call back later, and it would hang up on me... But after 2 + hours of calling, I finally got through. The lady I spoke with was very helpful and pleasant and helped me find the (very hard to find) sticker with the model # and manufacture date - on the bottom center "foot" underneath the thing - hence my sore back.
The only thing was that the pieces were $8.00 each. Kind of expensive, but I guess otherwise I would have had to buy a whole new PnP because the only thing I really use it for is the bassinet feature. (Still annoyed that I threw them out though).
Matt's cuteness of the day: The way he says Jonathan: "Dack-i-da." LOL!!
