"Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget."— Robert Jordan

Rock Star

Jillian was rocking out to a song in the backseat of the car yesterday and I told her she was a good singer.  She said,

"Yeah, I'm going to be a rock star (in her best I-know-it-all voice) when I grow up."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, I'm going to be a rock star, and it's going to be so much fun.... but I want to be a mommy, too," she added pensively.
"You can be whatever you want to be," I assured her. "You can be a rock star and a mommy if you want to (figuring I was being a good mom who encourages her little girl that she can do anything she wants when she grows up)."
"Yeah! I'll be a rock star and a mommy and the daddy will go to work, just like my daddy, and make all the money so I can be a rock star!"

I just didn't know how to respond to that...
