The night before the "Tooth Fairy" came and sprinkled her "Fairy Dust" all over the room, Matt asked me if he could write a letter to the her. I told him he could write a thank-you note in the morning. Matt wanted to know why I suggested a thank-you note and I told him that the poor Tooth Fairy brings all the boys and girls some treasure in exchange for their teeth, but she probably doesn't get thanked very often.
My sweet sensitive son pondered this for a few minutes and then went up to bed. When I went into his room later that night, to "check to see if the Tooth Fairy had arrived," I found four quarters, carefully piled up near his tooth pillow. I called Mark in to see if he put them there, as kind of a joke, and he said he hadn't.
Matt explained the next morning that he felt so bad that the Tooth Fairy gives everyone else treasures and all she gets is some ol' teeth, so he gave her a little money from his piggy bank in return.
