Eye Exams

Both kids had eye exams this morning.  Matt had trouble with his eye exam at the pediatrician's office at his 5 year visit, and Jillian was due to have her prescription checked, so I booked them both appointments at the same time.  They didn't like the dilation, for obvious reasons, but otherwise they were very well behaved. The nurse actually said at one point, "What good manners you both have.  Your parents must be very proud." And yes, I am!!

Jillian's eyesight has actually improved slightly since her last appointment, and she's going to keep her current prescription and reevaluate in 4 months.  Matt had a little trouble, and has a slight astigmatism in his right eye, but the doctor didn't think his eyesight was bad enough to warrant glasses (yet).  He may be like his father and get them later in life (Mark had 20/40 vision for a long time and didn't get glasses until he was in college).  The doctor wants to see Matt in 4 months as well, to reevaluate
