Proof

I need to record this moment so that I can go back to it and prove to teenage-Matthew that he did say this to me when he was five:

Matt: Mom, I love you.
Me: I love you too sweetheart.
Matt: You're the best mom in the whole wide world!!
Me: Aww!! Thanks sweetie! I try to be a good mom.  What makes me a good Mom? [So yeah, I was looking for a compliment.  So sue me.]

Matt: You're a good mom because...[and I quote] ...you make the rules.

Yes, yes I do Matt.  And you're right, that makes me a damned good mom, if I do say so myself. I hope you always feel that way. ;)

In other news, please keep one of my closest and oldest friends and her family in your prayers. Jackie delivered two little baby boys on March 11, almost 15 weeks too early.  Benjamin and Stephen weighed in at 1 lb 5 oz and 1 lb 10 oz.  I've been told that they're absolutely beautiful already and already have the signature dark long eyelashes that their big sister Jadyn is famous for.  They have so many obstacles to overcome in the coming weeks and months, and could use all the prayers and positive thoughts we can give them right now, to keep them strong and keep them fighting.  Love you Jackie and Ryan!
