Things I want to remember

Here are some things I want to remember:

I can't even remember what I put him in time-out for, but when his five minutes was up, I told him he could get up and he stayed there. I repeated myself, "Matt, you can get up now," and he said, "Mumma, I think I need to stay here for another couple of minutes and think some more about what I did."

Listening to Matt and Jill playing in the family room this morning:
"Let's pretend that Cinderella is a grown-up?"
"Yeah! Let's pretend she's thirteen and she's all grown up and can drive a car!"
"Yup! And she's going to get married to Mario!"

Matt's "Theories."  Like his theory on how germs make you sneeze: "They crawl up into your nose and tickle you with a teeny-tiny feather and it makes you sneeze." Or when I was telling him how special he is to me, and how God made him just for me and made my dreams come true, he said, "Because you wished on an eyelash and God heard the wish from Heaven and made your wish come true? Does God have a TV in Heaven?"

Jillian's lisp and the hilarious expressions she gets on her face, and the way that she's only in nursery school yet everyone K-8th grade knows who she is and waves and calls out to her when they see her in the halls, and the way she takes this all in stride like it's her due. Oh, and "sniffy kisses."

When Jillian is really upset and can't calm down, she goes running to Matthew to make her laugh. All he has to do is do a silly little song and dance and soon she's giggling.

And finally, Jillian like this:
 And Matthew like this:
He obviously loves the snow and winter as much as I do. ;)

What, you couldn't find a bigger flower for Jillian's head? Super cute.
