Sun Power

Jill has a special blankie that she has carried around with her and loved since she was about 6 months old.  There is a special corner of it that she likes to pat on her mouth and play with when she's tired or sad or needs some comfort. For her, it's a huge sign of affection and a privilege to pat her blankie on someone else's mouth when she's snuggling.

We were just cuddling on the couch after breakfast and she was patting blankie on my cheek and she said, "Mumma, if you're cold you can do this {pats her blankie on my cheeks, forehead and mouth} to get warm.  My blankie has sun power!"

So sweet... our payton just gave up her blanket on her 5th birthday... and this weekend when she was sick it was a BIG deal when we realized that she didn't once ask for her blanket. Wow!
