"Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget."— Robert Jordan

Another "must be doing something right" moment

We took the kiddos to the Museum of Science in Boston with a couple of friends of ours and their kiddos. After lunch, Mike went out to the car for a moment, and Andy, her kids, Jill and I decided to rest our weary feet outside the gift shop while Mark and Matt went in to browse. Mike came back and we all headed in to the Gift Shop to find Mark and Matt and tell them that we were ready to continue on. Imagine my surprise when I spotted Mark and a very excited Matt standing in line for the register. Mark had told Matt quite clearly that we weren't getting anything today, and they were just going to look. I was about to get all smug and razz Mark about being unable to resist Matt's charms as much as I can't. But apparently, according to Mark, they saw a big bin of letter blocks and lanyards and Matt asked what they were. Mark told him that they were to make bracelets and key chains. Matt thought a moment and then asked Mark if he could make one - as a surprise for me. He didn't ask for a single thing in the store, except as a gift for me. And he's three. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it. I know I'm bragging, but what a selfless thing for a three year old to do. In a store full of interesting things and temptations. Mark helped him make the keychain and Matt proudly walked up and put it on the counter (and told the cashier, "We don't need a bag, thank you!"). You could see how proud he was. I'll cherish that little key chain for the rest of my life.

Not the greatest picture in the world... but the batteries in my camera were dying when I took it:

He's just sooooo cute.

Last night on the way to pick up the boys, he says from the back seat "Aunty, can I tell you something?" Oh course I said sure. Matty responds "Aunty, I really love you". Ok, melt my heart to a million pieces!!!!
