Mark and I have been meaning to move Jill's room around a bit for a while now... her crib used to be right in front of the only heating/AC vent in the room, so her room was always too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Anyway, This past weekend we rearranged a little and made an impromptu decision to take the front off her crib, making it into a toddler bed. Jillian was VERY proud of her "new big-girl bed." She did amazing well. At nap time, I only had to tell her to get back in bed once, and last night she didn't get up at all! Later on down the road we'll buy the extension kit to convert the toddler bed into a double, but for now this is perfect for her.
Notice the line of Care Bears in her crib... heaven forbid they're in the wrong order when you put her to bed. She likes to carry all five of them around the house with her in her arms ("I have lots of Care Bears, mum!"). It's too cute.
