Matt came up to me this morning, out of the blue and said,
"Mumma, I'm not going to marry Jadyn OR Nora when I grow big."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Well, who are you going to marry?"
"YOU!"
And then he gave me a big wet slobbery Matty-kiss. Knock me over with a feather.
Later I dropped him off at school and this time when he started to walk into school, I said, "Matt! I don't get a kiss? You didn't kiss me yesterday." He said, "Oh." and ran back and planted one on me, turned around, started to walk into school again, but suddenly stopped and ran back to me and said, "I need a hug!"
Knock me over with a feather.
Finally, when I asked him what he did in school today, he said he had music class. I asked if he sang some songs and he told me that he sang the ABC song, Baa Baa Black Sheep and... Jack and Jillian went up a hill. LOL!
I talked to Miss P. after school today and she said Matt did *much* better today. I guess yesterday he didn't want to be torn away from the trains, but today "something clicked" and he got it and was participating much more. That's my boy. :) I wonder if he's using the trains and the train table as sort of a security blanket at school because he was overwhelmed and trains are something he "knows" and they make him feel comfortable and secure.
