"Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget."— Robert Jordan

Drop it Matt.

Goes to show you even a two-year-old can get impatient with a three-year-old's incessant questions. Matt got a new train recently and got it in his head that he wanted to take it to school with him today. I said no, because 1) he can't bring toys to school, 2) we're trying to discourage him from playing with the trains at school, and 3) I didn't want to chance him forgetting it there. So after explaining this to him overandoverandoverandover (you get the idea) again, finally I just decided to fall back on the old fail-safe, "because I said no." Okay, with that as your back story, here's the conversation I heard coming from the backseat of the car today when I was driving Matt to school:

Matt: But... WHY can't I bring my trains to school?
Jill: {with I swear an exasperated long-suffering sigh} 'Cause Mumma say no.
Matt: But... WHY did she say no?
Jill: {Another audible sigh} 'Cause cause cause you don' wanna lose your new twain Matt.
Matt: I won't lose it!!
Jill: MATT! DROP IT OKAY??

I swear if the girl knew how to roll her eyes, she would have.

Oh my gosh how funny! I believe Jill is going to be wise beyond her years. She is such a girly girl already! She is going to be a handful! Or you can look at it as your little sidekick! ;-)
