You know who you are!! I just found out today from a friend of mine on The Mom Retreat that someone actually wrote an "authorized" prequel to the Anne of Green Gables series!! It tells of Anne's parents and the years before Anne came to Green Gables. You have no idea how excited this makes me! LOL!! Of course I ordered it on Amazon.com ASAP.
From the time I received the 9 book series in paper back in the fifth grade, I've been an avid "Anne Fan." I've read my well-loved, well-worn, dog-eared copies at least 50 times since then, as recently as last year. They'll never get old to me and I hope that someday I can share them with Jill and she'll come to love them as much as I do. I still nearly swoon when I read Anne saying to Gilbert, "I don't want sunbursts and marble halls... I just want YOU!" Sigh...

I must admit - I've NEVER read them! I've seen the movies over and over and over, though. They were ALWAYS some of my favorites! I might have to get my hands on the books!
