Watching our two kids dance hysterically to the Wiggles show and laugh their head's off on the Bertie the Bus ride....

PRICELESS

Really... since we paid to do it, I'm not sure I'd tell you it's worth it (that park is HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!). Thomas World was a disappointment to me, as a mom of a little boy who's OBSESSED with Thomas. The Thomas ride through "Sodor" was nothing more than a 5 minute train ride past a facade of Tidmouth Shed with Gordon, Percy and James, past Cranky the crane... and then around a landscaped "pond" (i.e. a body of water the size of a large bathtub) with one Sodor man "fishing" and we were done. No little villages, no Sir Toppem Hat, nothing. When you get off, you're dumped into a HUGE Thomas store that's half the size of the rest of Thomas World with all jacked-up prices. Confused There was a train table in there that we had to literally drag Matt away from (I remember pleading with him that we didn't spend $29.99 admission on him to play with a train table, to which the other harried parents in the store laughed wryly in commiseration).

Other than that, there was the Harold the Helicopter ride that Matt loved and the Bertie the Bus ride that both Matt and Jillian loved. That's it... there was nothing else there. So it was kind of anticlimactic for us, but Matt didn't seem to mind.

There were no lines to get on these things, but the attendants working the rides took FOREVER to get everyone on and off the rides, which doesn't bode well with a 2 year old working on no nap.

Wiggles World was MUCH better, IMO. Still had a problem with painfully slow attendants, but there was much more offered, many different rides and a GREAT Wiggles live show, complete with "realistic" Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and a slightly portly Captain Feathersword. giggle They had all the kids come up to the front of the stage to dance and OMGoodness, every penny we spent was made worth it's weight in gold to see Matt and Jill dance along to the songs. Matt was hysterical!

Afterwards, the characters came out and Matt got to say hi and hug them (Jillian was a little unsure).

They had a little sprinkler park in there... we got the kids dressed in their bathing suits and let them go and they had a blast in there, while us parents and grandparents sat in the shade and had ice cream. yum

I think their favorite rides in there were Wag's Big Red Helicopter ride (which was strangely similar to the Harold the Helicopter ride Wink) and the Big Red Car ride (which was strangely similar to the Thomas Train ride Wink).

Soooo....

All in all I'd *love* to say it was worth the money we spent and the 2 hour car drive to get there... but I have a funny feeling that I'm just trying to justify it to myself. giggle

Matt and Jillian had a ball though, And Mark's parents and Mark and I had fun watching them so I think that's all that really counts. Wink
