At 12 months:
your child is 18 pounds, and that is
at the 5th percentile for weight.
your child is 29 inches, and that is
at the 40th percentile for height.
your child has a head circumference of 17.7165354 inches, and that is
at the 43th percentile for head circumference.
And here I thought that she was eating really well!! She went from 25th %ile height and weight at her 9 month visit to 5th %ile weight, 40th %ile height! She's a little peanut I guess! I was just shocked because this is the kid that eats her dinner and Matt's. LOL! Guess she's just an active little girl. :)
She's fully weaned off the bottle as of yesterday. I was still giving her a bottle of whole milk in the morning at her naps just because I had some bottle liners left that I wanted to use. We weaned her off formula about a week before her birthday when we ran out of formula and I didn't replace it. She made the transition to whole milk very easily.
She's walking and talking a lot more now... Here are the words she can say so far:
- Kitty - "zee-zee"
- Meow - "aahahh"
- Moo
- Woof
- Mama
- Dada
- Matt - "Maah"
- Auntie - "tee -tee"
- She also "growls" like a bear or a dinosaur. LOL
Her favorite thing is definitely her blanket - the one that Meema made. She has to have that to go to sleep. She cuddles right up to it and sometimes sucks on the corner of it. Mark's mom made another one for her so that I can actually wash it sometimes. ;)
Jillian's hair is getting so long. I can put it in pigtails or one little fountain of a ponytail on the top of her head. She looks like "Cindy Lou Who who was no more than two." LOL.
We had cake on her birthday with just the close family, and a big cookout for her yesterday. The cookout couldn't have turned out any better... the weather was PERFECT. Jillian entertained everyone by smashing cake in her hair...
She has turned into the sweetest, cutest, most lovable little girl. I am so thankful to have her as my daughter and I can hardly wait to watch her grow and change in the years to come. It amazes me how incredibly fast this past year has gone by. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be, having two kids 18 months apart. I wouldn't change things for the world.
I took LOTS of pictures over the past couple of weeks... too many to post here. If you're interested in seeing them, you can view them here.
