New business

A lot of you know that Jackie and I are starting our own business... it's called JMJ Creations and basically, well, we're kind of a Jane-of-all-trades operation. LOL! We're doing some artsy things for the Shrine gift shop - like memorial bookmarks, baby shower favors, namesake plaques, calligraphy, stuff like that. We're also hoping to break into the Virtual Assistant business - that's for small businesses that can't afford to hire a full-time assistant, so they contract out the work - data entry, transcription, spreadsheets, power point presentations, etc. We've been fairly successful so far with the Gift Shop end of things... we've already had several orders!!

My 2 1/2 years of working from home for the Shrine is coming to a close and that's why Jackie and I are starting this up. You all know how important it is to me to be able to stay home with the kids, not to mention the cost of daycare - with my earning potential, it's not worth it to work full-time. So if this works out, it'd be the perfect solution for me.

As a going away gift, the staff at the Shrine bought Jackie and I a three-month ad spot in the Merrimack Journal, so I'm trying desperately to get our website up and running. Chris and Bobby helped me out a bit, for which I'm eternally grateful, but if you'd take a peek and give me some constructive criticism, too, I'd appreciate it!!

This is so important to me! Thanks for any help you can offer. The site is:

Sounds like a perfect solution. I hope that it all works out for you and Jackie. Daycare is a killer. I won't even say what we are paying for the girls. And we are only part time... (I work 5 days over a two week period)
