Goin' to the zoo... yup! yup!

We spent the day at the Southwick Zoo yesterday with Mark's parents. Matt had a ball, Jillian got bored, (LOL) but she's still young. ;) Michelle and Paul were so nice to let us use their double jogging stroller, because it would have been a pain in the butt to use my Graco Duoglider (which is fine in the mall, not so good on rough terrain and hills). We got there around 10:00 and left around 12:30, which was the perfect amount of time to be there with two young children. I don't know if you've ever been to the Southwick Zoo, but it's probably the nicest zoo in New England... It's huge! There are all kinds of animals, a train ride (which Matt LOVED), small child rides, pony rides, etc. Matt's favorite animals were the giraffes, the monkeys, the jaguar, the elephant and this little turtle (he didn't like the huge tortoise!). Jillian's favorite part of the day was eating Cheerios on Meema's lap during the train ride. LOL.

After we left the Zoo, we went back to Andover and had lunch at Bertucci's, and then we went up to Richardson's Dairy Farm to see the cows and have some ice-cream. It was a wonderful, beautiful day. Both kids were exhausted by the end of the day - Jillian even went to bed for the night at 5:30!! I love doing these kinds of things with the kids and can't wait to have more outings as the summer goes on.

Here are some pictures:

Love Jillian's pig tails Kell! I was just thrilled the first time I could get Payton's hair in them!
