Jillian is 7 months!

Jillian turned 7 months old on the 10th. Not a whole lot to report... she's doing about the same as last month. LOL. She's still working on crawling. She can creep like a pro, but she can only take a few "steps" up on her hands and knees. That's okay though, she's practicing!! She went through a growth spurt a couple of weeks ago and seemingly over-night grew out of her 3-6 month clothes. This was to my chagrin, because Monique had given me a HUGE bin of 3-6 month clothes so I hardly had to buy anything. Now she has about 5 or 6 outfits she fits into, so I'm going to have to go do some shopping! Because of the growth spurt, we moved her into a convertible carseat. It's a seat that you can use rear-facing until they're a year old and/or 20 lbs, and forward facing until 65 lbs - which is nice because we won't have to buy her a booster seat, hopefully. I have to admit, I was less than sensible and got a pretty pink pattern. LOL! I couldn't help myself and plus, it was the same price as the regular pattern. Here's a pic of her chilling in the seat:

Her naps are something that have greatly improved. I can put her in her crib wide awake, and she'll roll over, snuggle in her blankie and go right to sleep. She takes a 1 1/2 hour nap in the morning and a 1 1/2 - 2 hour nap in the afternoon. Matt was NEVER like that until he turned one, so it is SO nice. She still gets up once over night to eat, which is fine, because she's still not that into solids yet.

Speaking of solids, she's tried all the major fruits and veggies... another way she's opposite to Matt - she prefers the veggies, especially peas, over the fruits!! You should see her face when you give her fruit - it's a riot!! She takes after her Pepere with her love of peas. :) I usually give her two meals... one mid-morning and one around supper-time. I mix some oatmeal or rice with the veggies and she seems to prefer that over straight baby food. She's drinking out of a sippy cup already (although I have to help her tip the cup when she holds it), and she has also tried, and loves, Gerber Cereal Puffs and Cheerios.

Still no teeth. She's definitely teething, but I've yet to feel anything in her mouth.
