Matt's Birthday Presents

Well, as most of you know, Matt will be TWO on Sunday. Wow. I think that blows my mind more than when he turned one! Anyway, this year we decided that since he loves his Uncle Mike's (whom he calls "My Mike," by the way, probably because Matt seems to be Michael's clone, but I digress) fish tank so much, we'd get him a fish tank for his birthday. I have to admit, too, that Mark and I have been discussing getting a fish tank for ourselves for a while now, so it's as much for us as it is for him. :) Here's a picture:

There are (were) six fish altogether. Mark named them Frodo, Samwise (Sam), Meriodoc (Merry), Peregrin (Pippin), Aragon and Gandalf the Gray. Gandalf, sadly, passed away yesterday morning, but I swear I heard him tell the others that he would come back to them - at the turn of the tide... anyway... sorry, I'm punchy this morning.

My parents and Mark and I also bought him this bookcase for the family room. He loves books so much that his collection is getting quite big and the blue bin thingy that we have his books in just isn't cutting it anymore. I like the pull out bins in this bookcase, too, for his small toys, like cars, blocks and Weebles. It'll hopefully go a long way towards organizing this room.
