Matt is so freakin' cute, have I ever told you that???
Yesterday we were at Target and I was looking for a couple of the die-cast Disney-Pixar Cars figures (Guido, Luigi and the Tractor). They didn't have them, but they did have Mack, the mack truck from the movie. Well, the minute Matt's eyes locked on that truck, I just knew that I couldn't leave the store without it (yeah, I'm an old push-over, but c'mon, you wouldn't have been able to resist, either). He wasn't throwing a tantrum or anything, he was just very excited and kept saying "Mack mumma! See?? Mack!!" So I said, "Do you want to take Mack home, Matt?" "Mack home mumma! Mack home. keez?? (please)" So I handed him the box and you would have thought I had given him a million dollars or all the chocolate in the world - he hugged that box to his chest and said over and over, "Keek-oo Mumma! Keek-oo Mumma!! Keek-oo! Home? Mack home? Keek-oo mum! Keekoo mumma! Mumma? Keek-oo!!" Everyone walking by us in the store were dying laughing. It was so adorable. I told him we needed to make one more stop - to pick out a toy for Jillian - which he did with much gusto - "Here bee-bee!" as he chucked it at her - LOL! Then we were off to the check-out counter to pay. I told him that he had to let go of Mack for a minute so we could pay for him (he still hadn't stopped saying, "Keek-oo mum!" over and over), so he did and the girl scanned the box and handed it back to Matt, ("Keek-oo Lady!"), and we went out to the car. Matt was so excited ("Mack home mumma!"). LOL - I played with his mind a little and asked him if he wanted to bring Mack back to the store ("NO!") and we went home.
Now here's the amazing thing - don't know if any of you have seen the movie - but the main scene with Mack in it has them driving down the highway to the song "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts. So we get home, get Mack out of the box and Matt lies on the floor and starts pushing it and singing "Hiiighway.... Long!" (the lyrics go, "Life is a highway, I want to ride it all night long!" LOL!! Took me a couple of minutes to figure out that's what he was singing, but when I figured it out I was absolutely amazed that he put that together like that, you know? He's a very smart little boy. Must get that from me. ;-)

That is soooo sweet. What a polite little boy. I hope ours is that good. =)
Too cute. Love that story. Just think how many Kee-koo's you'll hear at birthday time.
And love the part about the song too. So smart. Kids are really good with music.
