Roll Over, I'm Crowded!

Jillian rolled from her stomach to her back today! Several times! I took Matt to his gym class and Mark put Jillian down for her nap on her stomach and when I got home and went upstairs to get her, the cheeky little monkey was on her back grinning up at me all proud of herself. Later this afternoon, I put her down for another nap and watched her in action several times... She sticks her butt way up in the air and kind of flops herself over. :-D I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure Matt didn't roll over until he was almost 5 months old. (There I go again, comparing my kids!!)

Yup, Matt was almost five months old when he rolled from back to stomach, and 5 months old when he rolled from from stomach to back. I looked it up in his journal.

Ian hates his stomach and once he rolls from back to front we are in trouble! I think Jill ran into that problem for a short while. Does Jillian prefer to sleep on her stomach? Once on her back can she get back to her stomach?

Payton didn't start rolling until around 5 months too I think. Although she did roll from her belly to her back once or twice before that. When she started to roll from back to belly she would just scream until we went to help her roll back over. She didn't care for the belly sleeping either, Sarah. Although now, that is the only way she sleeps!

Sarah, she does prefer to sleep on her stomach. I don't love that, but she'll only sleep on her back if she's swaddled, and lately she had been wiggling out of her swaddle and I'd go in there to find it covering her face, which made me REALLY nervous. So stomach it was!! And she can't roll from back to stomach just yet. When she rolls over, she squawks at me until I come in and roll her back. ;-)

Tina, Matt was the same way... hated to sleep on his tummy and now that's the only way he'll sleep! :)

These days Ian likes to sleep on his side. It is so cute. He is just one step away from landing on his stomach.
