I had a prenatal appointment this morning. They're always so much fun now... go there, circle the lot a couple of times looking for a spot, find a spot, get out the stroller, strap Matt into the stroller, battle with the door to get Matt & stroller in the building, take the teeny elevator to the third floor, battle with the office door, check in, bring stoller & Matt into the bathroom to pee in a cup (thus scarring Matt for life). Wheel stroller down the hall to park outside (in the middle of the hallway) one of the tiny cubicles where I meet with one of the nurses to get weighed and BP taken... then sit and wait for 15 minutes for an exam room to open up... wheel stroller & Matt into teeny exam room and wait another 10 minutes for the doctor to come in, to have her measure my belly and listen for the heartbeat and tell me to come back in 2 weeks. And Matt woke up with the sniffles and really cranky-pants this morning, making the whole process that much more a PIA. ;-)
Anywho... it was another routine appointment... I'm 31.5 weeks, 144 lbs, BP: 110/70, belly measuring 30 CM, baby's heart rate: 140 BPM. I have to go every 2 weeks from now on. My next appointment is at the beginning of June. It's crazy how fast time is going by!!
The only thing that made me pause was when the nurse told me that I gained 13 pounds!! WHAT?? I don't think so! LOL! My chart said my weight 3 weeks ago was 131. I told her that there was no way I was 131 three weeks ago. So she looked at the appointment before that, and saw that the weight at that appointment was 136. So one of the other nurses must have meant to write down 141 and accidentally wrote 131. LOL!! 141 was definitely more like it. That makes much more sense because it means I put on about a pound a week, which is typical for me.
Like I said earlier, Matt has the sniffles. :( Poor little guy! I was going to take him to have his haircut after my appointment this morning but he just looked so pathetic and tired that I took him home and put him down for a nap. I'll see how he feels when he wakes up.
